Herbal Teas are really Tisanes - and are beverages made from the infusion of herbs, spices or other plant material in hot water. They do not usually contain caffeine. Herbal teas should not be confused with true teas which are prepared from the cured leaves of the tea plant. Like beverages made from true teas, herbal teas can be served hot or cold. These teas are normally very healthful. They can be enjoyed for the flavor or the goodness coming from the herbs or spices.
These are sold by the package.
Brewing Instructions - Start with cold fresh water and bring the water to a full boil. Have your herbal tea (approx. 1 tsp per 6 oz of water, you can add more or less to your taste) ready to go, you will need a tea bag, or infuser for the looser herbal tea. Pour the boiling water over the herbal tea (do not boil the herbal tea) and let it steep for at least 5 minutes. The longer you let the tea steep, the stronger it will be.
Enjoy the herbal tea hot or cold.
